Grade 8 Graduation

It’s an exciting time of year!

Graduations are an important milestone in the life of any student. This webpage is dedicated to sharing all the ceremony and celebration plans we have in store for students and their families as we mark this special occasion for our Grade 8 Graduating Class of 2025!

Friday, April 11 – GRADUATION PHOTOS

All students are asked to pose for photos to ensure that all students are on the composite grad class photo available for purchase 

• • There is no obligation to purchase photos or the class composite, but you will have an option to buy individual photos as well as a class composite
• Edgeimaging will be taking a series of 4 photos – some with grad gowns and some without. Parents will be able to select the photo they want for their photo package (the composite grad class photo will feature students in gowns)
• Read the POSTER from Edgeimaging (on the messages from Admin bookshelf on myRockway) to learn how to place a photo package order, and to purchase a class composite photo (NOTE: the composite is different from the class photo mentioned below)

CLASS PHOTO: We will be taking a class photo after the graduation ceremony on June 19 (something similar to what you see on the header of this webpage). Rockway will email parents sometime after graduation with an option to download a digital copy of this class photo.

CEREMONY PHOTOS: We will not be providing a photographer to take a photo of your student receiving their certificate, but we will make a photography area for parents to take a photo of their child receiving their graduation certificate.

Thursday, June 19 – GRADUATION DAY!

MORNING ARRIVAL

LUNCH & EARLY DISMISSAL

• Graduation lunch at Borealis: time TBC in class
• Early Dismissal: Grade 8 students will be dismissed at 2 pm to give students, and their family, time to prepare for graduation, eat dinner and return to school at the appropriate time

CEREMONY & CELEBRATION – RSVP

• Although there is no limit to the number of guests to attend the ceremony and celebration, we will be asking each family to RSVP for their approximate number of attendees. RSVP link will be open mid-May.

CEREMONY & CELEBRATION – Timeline 

• 6:00 pm – Rockway doors and campus will be available for families to take photos (don’t forget, Rockway gardens is another possible photo spot!)
• 6:15 pm – Students involved in the ceremony music may be required to return to Rockway for rehearsal
• 6:35 pm – Assembly Area doors will open for ceremony guest seating 
• 6:45 pm – Graduates meet in Gym A to prepare for their ceremony entrance
• 7:00 pm – Graduation Ceremony in the Assembly Area 
• 8:00 pm – Dessert Celebration for grads and their families in Gym A
• 9:00 pm – Thanks for coming!
