From the moment I entered Rockway, I was able to see the kindness and community that surrounded the school, and that impression strengthened throughout my time there.  At Rockway students are encouraged to try as many extracurriculars as possible and the smaller school population provides more opportunities for this and for students to discover what interests them.

A small school means that you know everyone, and everyone knows you. As a result, I’ve built lifelong connections and friendships that will continue for years to come.

I may have joined this community as an unsure kid, but I’m leaving as a well rounded student and a person who has learnt so much both in and outside of the classroom.

My time at Rockway has been more than just an education. Rockway allowed me to explore who I am, both academically and personally. Some of the things I have valued most is the strong sense of community, teachers who genuinely care and classmates who support one another.

Looking to the future, I feel well-prepared for whatever comes next, and Rockway has played a major role in that. It’s a place that has shaped not only my knowledge but also my character.

At Rockway I had the opportunity to challenge myself and act with purpose. I have learned to ask meaningful questions and to understand how my values can shape not only my own life, but also the lives of those around me.

Rockway’s small and tight knit environment helped me develop confidence academically and as a leader and collaborator. My teachers genuinely cared about me and taught me the value of service, integrity, and inclusive leadership; qualities I’ll carry with me far beyond high school.

For six years, Rockway was more than just a school for me. It was a community where I felt seen, supported and encouraged to grow.

Most of all, I’ve appreciated how Rockway encouraged me to think critically and compassionately about the world around me. That blend of academic rigour and heart has made a lasting impact.

Rockway’s tight-knit community, kind teachers, and positive environment have made for an amazing high school experience. I have participated in a wide variety of extracurricular activities and made meaningful friendships that I don’t believe I could have found at any other school.

At Rockway, I always felt welcomed and excited about going to school. The academic program has prepared me well for university and I couldn’t have asked for a better high school experience.

Rockway provided a supportive environment that encouraged growth, creativity, and leadership. I truly valued the countless opportunities to step outside of my comfort zone and try new experiences.

Participating in student leadership, sports teams and an international exchange, helped me build lasting friendships and broaden my perspectives but they also shaped my confidence and deepened my sense of belonging.

Rockway’s dedication to student involvement and global awareness made my high school years both meaningful and unforgettable.

What I really love about Rockway, is that it’s a school that not only prioritizes education, but also interpersonal connections, community and spirit. Rockway is a place where I can feel like I am accepted and encouraged to be myself, be involved in my community, and expand my horizons.

Rockway creates an environment where all students feel safe, cared for, encouraged to try new things, and like they have a place where they belong. Because of that, so many students here are involved in so many things. At Rockway, you are never labeled as one thing, and are never judged for trying something new.

Rockway teachers take a genuine interest in their students, and whenever you walk down the hall there is  always a smiling face, which  makes students feel like we aren’t just a number, and we truly belong here.
