Meet the people with whom your child will spend their day.
Rockway has over 70 faculty and staff members supporting a school of approximately 280 students. A large number of our faculty and staff have a Masters degree or another advanced professional destination. Many have also enjoyed successful professional careers in their areas of expertise.
Our faculty and staff are passionate about our students! Whether they are a teacher, inspiring them in the classroom; office staff, ensuring they get their timetable and textbooks; kitchen staff, ensuring they have a healthy lunch option; or a custodian, making sure their school is safe and clean, our incredible team will ensure your child is welcomed into our school community and that they know they are more than just a face in a crowd.
Meet Our Board of Directors
Rockway is governed by a Board of Directors of up to 13 people, who provide vision and direction for our school. Twelve of the Directors are elected and the Principal is an ex-officio non-voting member. Three of the elected members are nominated by our conference, Mennonite Church Eastern Canada (MCEC).
In addition to the Principal, staff who are part of the Administrative Team also participate in Board meetings. These include the Vice-Principal, Director of Admissions & Recruitment, Director of Advancement and the Director of Finance & Human Resources. In addition, the faculty elects one representative to participate in Board meetings.
We are thankful for this group of volunteers (consisting of current parents, alumni and/or friends of Rockway), who provide vision and direction for our school. They meet approximately once a month but also contribute to the school in other ways, by volunteering at school community events, cheering at sporting events or attending music concerts and drama productions.

Living Wage Employer
Rockway is a firm believer in taking care of its employees’ health and well-being, physically, mentally and financially and as such, became a certified Living Wage employer in 2017. In line with our school’s mission and values, this means that Rockway chooses to pay their employees not just minimum wage, but an hourly rate that reflects what people need to earn to cover the actual costs of living in their community. Rockway is committed to maintaining our certification by increasing our wages as new rates are calculated for our geographical area. Read more at the Ontario Living Wage Network website.
