Tuition at Rockway
A Worthy Investment
By investing in a Rockway education, you are investing in a small school for a big world. Your investment will shape your child’s life.
As an independent school, Rockway does not receive any government funding. Tuition fees cover approximately 84% of Rockway’s budget, with most of the balance made up by donations from our generous supporters. Our fundraising events and efforts, supported by volunteers, contribute to the Go Rockway! Annual Fund and general facility maintenance.
Tuition fees cover the cost of activities that are part of the daily classroom learning, both inside and outside of the classroom with the exception of textbooks which are purchased by the student.
The after-tax cost of sending a child to Rockway is significantly less than it might appear. The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) permits Rockway to offer tax receipts for the religious component of our programming. The amount of this receipt varies year-to-year according to the CRA’s formula and cannot be confirmed in advance. For example, in the 2023 calendar year, Rockway was permitted to give charitable receipts for tuition paid in excess of $12,142.
Tuition Fees, Discounts and Subsidies
We acknowledge that tuition can be a difficult hurdle for some to overcome on their journey to Rockway. Due to the ongoing support of many generous donors, Rockway is able to provide a variety of discounts, subsidies and scholarships in addition to our Tuition Assistance Program
Those families who are active members of Mennonite Church Eastern Canada (MCEC) congregations are eligible for additional subsidies. Embodying the Mennonite value of mutual aid, some families choose to decline or donate back part or all of their subsidy to share with families in need of financial assistance.
2024-2025 Tuition Fees
- Domestic Tuition: $20,500
- Mennonite Tuition (MCEC church participant): $15,100
Discounts and Subsidies
- NEW! Alumni Discount (5 year pilot, 2020/2021-2024/2025): $2000 per student
This discount acknowledges the vital role that Alumni play in the life of the school. Please note, this rate cannot be used in conjunction with the Mennonite Tuition rate. - Multi-Student Discount: $2000 for 2nd and 3rd students attending from the same family, at the same time.
- MCEC Pastor’s Subsidy: $2500 per student

Tuition Assistance Program
We know that providing your child with a Rockway education is an investment and can be financially difficult for some families. Rockway is committed to supporting our families by providing scholarships and tuition assistance which is made possible by donations through our fundraising efforts. This allows the Rockway Experience to be more accessible to more families.
Allocations of tuition assistance support takes into consideration a family’s financial circumstances as well as the number of applications received in any given year. It is offered at the sole discretion of the school.
Any qualified domestic applicant to Rockway can apply for tuition assistance. Please note that tuition assistance is not available for international students.
Students may apply for both Tuition Assistance AND a Scholarship (see chart below).
