Rockway’s inclusive school community embraces diversity and respect for all faith perspectives. Here every student is seen, heard and known. At Rockway, students experience a sense of belonging and community which is foundational to their academic achievement.
Rockway Mennonite Collegiate prepares students to be responsible, globally-minded, compassionate and reflective learners. Our academic program creates space and time for critical reflection on what is good, fair and just. The result is that Rockway graduates are not merely ready for the real world, they are committed to building a better one.
The Rockway Experience
Students and parents describe the Rockway Experience as welcoming, warm and inclusive. This is a direct result of our intentional focus on community building and our students’ deep involvement in the life of our school.
One of the ways we build community as a school is with activities such as grade-specific retreats and trips, various clubs, all-school events and twice-weekly chapels. As a Christian school in the Mennonite tradition, Rockway uses its Chapel Program to teach respect for all faith perspectives and to help students engage with global issues. We do this by inviting diverse speakers, singing together and encouraging student involvement.
Rockway is a small school for a big world. Our students graduate with confidence in their values and an understanding of their role as a global citizen. We invite you to consider how Rockway might help shape your life in the big world.

Family Testimonials
“....our kids have had the chance to participate in a wide variety of activities.”
Unrau Family
Brian is a former faculty member at Rockway and his wife Jenny is a Rockway graduate of 1991. Their oldest son, Owen graduated in June 2023, and their daughters Leah and Cassidy will graduate in 2024 and 2027, respectively.
One of the key reasons we chose to send our children to Rockway was for the opportunities they could experience.
As a small school, Rockway offers many programs and our kids have had the chance to participate in a wide variety of activities.
In larger school settings, it is quite likely that there are already many students who are exceptional at just about every activity – sports, drama, music, etc. In a school with more than a thousand students, if a child doesn’t arrive at that school with pre-existing strengths, the chances of them making the teams, clubs, casts or rosters are lower.
At Rockway, our kids made teams and participated in activities that provided them with experiences they would not have had at other schools.
Despite its small student body size, Rockway remains competitive and the students turn out impressive results. The achievement banners on the walls prove year after year that simply giving kids opportunities, along with solid guidance and support, allows the students to achieve tremendous success. Along with this, Rockway continues to foster a culture of engagement. Being interested in participating and remaining active in the school community is valued by faculty, staff and fellow students.
We are confident that our children have established more potential trajectories, whether for their careers, hobbies, pastimes, or lives, having attended Rockway.
“This amazing school…feels more like a big family.”
Yepes / Carrillo Family
Horacio Yepes and his wife Monica Carrillo joined the Rockway community in September 2020. Their son graduated in June 2023 and their daughter will graduate in 2025.
Our children have been attending Rockway Mennonite Collegiate since grades 7 and 10 respectively.
We joined this wonderful community during the COVID-19 pandemic after we moved from Nova Scotia. Even during these challenging times, our kids always felt welcome and quickly started making meaningful connections and friendships.
Rockway teachers have been dedicated, fair, knowledgeable and engaged. In a word, amazing. Even in the most testing of circumstances, school staff and teachers were exceptionally patient and resourceful.
Rockway’s high school curriculum prepares students well, not only academically, but in all aspects as independent, confident and compassionate human beings.
We appreciate the sense of community and belonging and feel very lucky to be part of this amazing school that feels more like a big family.
