Rockway’s BIG Night Out Dinner & Dance Fundraiser with Silent Auction. Proceeds to support programming at Rockway.

WHEN is it?
Friday, September 25, 2026
- 6:00 pm Doors Open – mix and mingle, enjoy a drink & find your seat. Learn more about seating & drinks in the TICKETS section below.
- 6:00 pm Silent Auction Begins – you’ll be given your bidding number when you arrive – there is no obligation to bid, but for those interested, check out the list in the Additional Information section below!
- 7:00 pm Dinner – plated, served by Tapestry Hall staff. Enjoy a starter, choice of entrée, dessert (see MENU section below).
- 8:30 pm Dance – Featuring Rockway’s homegrown band: Better Than Nothing. Whether you choose to kick up your feet on the dance floor or relax on one of the Tapestry Hall’s many lounging chairs and couches, you won’t want to miss out on the fun that the music and energy will bring after dinner!
- 10:30 pm Silent Auction Ends – we’ll post the winners and they will be contacted the following week for pickup and payment options.
- 11:00 pm Thanks for coming!
WHO can come?
This event is open to everyone, not just current families or alumni, so don’t be afraid to invite friends, former Rockway families or more of your own family! However, unlike last year’s event, we are not planning kid-friendly activities – this event is a dinner and dance.

HOW should I dress?
It’s more important that you’re there, than what you wear, however, we also know that some of you are concerned with being over or underdressed! So, when choosing your outfit, think somewhere between going to a “nice” restaurant and a wedding. For some, that might mean jeans and a nice top, for others, it might mean a dress or shirt and tie. Ultimately, be you, be comfortable and be ready to have a lot of FUN!

SEATING ARRANGEMENTS
Guests will have TWO seating options to consider when purchasing tickets:
- Single Ticket Open Banquet Seating (grouped rectangular tables) – This seating is first come, first seated. This allows you, and any of your guests, the flexibility of deciding who you want to sit with when you arrive (don’t worry, there will be enough seating for everyone, this will not be a case of musical chairs!)
- Table of 8 (reserved round tables) – You and 7 of your favourite people can reserve a table to sit together when purchasing your tickets.

For the cost of your Single Ticket, you receive:
- 1 drink during cocktail hour

Seating for single tickets is general admission. If you want to guarantee sitting with friends, consider the Table of 8 option.

- $25 tax receipt will be issued

SHUTTLE TRANSPORTATION - for regular ticket holders
- Rockway’s big yellow limousine (aka our school bus) will be available to take guests round-trip between Rockway and Tapestry Hall – stay tuned for more information!
PARKING - TAPESTRY HALL (Gaslight District)
- The G2 Parking Garage has been reseverd for us
- Parking is available around the Gaslight District, except at the Hamilton Family Theatre.
