Family Welcome Night

All families, including Homestay hosts and guardians, are invited to kick off the school year by attending our Family Welcome Night. After a short program, families will be invited to meet each other and teachers. 

• 6:30 pm       NEW Families and Parent Ambassador meet & greet
  • Grab your name tag then head into the gym early to connect with one another (check your email for a message from Sheri Wideman)
• 6:40 pm       Arrival and Name Tags – outside if it’s nice, inside if it’s raining
  • Park in the north parking lot, at Hmong Church (directly across the road), at the back end of Rockway Golf Course (there is a connecting walkway from that parking lot to ours) or on the street. Come to the North or Front Doors to get your name tag before entering the school.
• 7:00 pm       Dedication Program – Gym A
  • Come see the new space, hear from Admin and the Board and kick off the new year together! 
• 7:20 pm       Family Connection Time – (locations TBA)
  •  Optional time to meet other families in your child’s grade and sign up to share contact information if you would like to be able to communicate with one another. This list is created fresh each year so even if you signed up last year, you’ll need to resign this year. 
• 7:30 pm       Grade 12 Costa Rica Information Session – Gym A
  • For those grade 12 students and families interested in learning more about this international trip opportunity. You will have time to meet the teacher after the session is over.
• 7:30 pm       Cookies and Conversation – Grab a Rockway cookie from one of the refreshment tables and then go Meet the Teachers who will teach your child(ren)
