It is an exciting time of year! Our Graduation Planning Committee is in full swing, planning events & celebrations throughout the spring to honour Rockway’s Grade 12 Graduating Class of 2026. We sincerely hope all grade 12 students are able to participate in the two special events happening during Trips Week, as well as attend both the Graduation Ceremony (WMB Church) and Graduation Banquet (Rockway Assembly Area) on Saturday, June 20.

- Families can purchase photo packages on the Edgeimaging website.

- Rockway has hired Cast & Crewe Photgraphy to take a class photo as well as a photo of graduates receiving their diploma from Mr. Hill.
- Information about how to download will be provided by email after graduation.
TRIPS WEEK CELEBRATIONS
- NEW THIS YEAR! Grade 12 Trip to Stratford – Wednesday, May 27, 2026
- Students will be treated to an afternoon performance of “Something Rotten!”
- Students will leave Rockway at 10:30am and have time in Stratford on their own for lunch prior to the performance.
- We will return to school around 6pm.
- Grade 12 Retreat – Thursday, May 28, 2026
- The Grade 12 Retreat is a long-standing tradition at Rockway and offers our grade 12 students the opportunity to spend time together reflecting on their time at Rockway and thinking about the future.
- During this time, a Valedictorian for the Graduation Ceremony will be chosen.
- Rockway will provide students with a special lunch.
- Grade 12 Trips Week River Cruise – Friday, May 29, 2026
- Grade 12 students are invited to join together for a relaxing 2.5 hour boat cruise down the Grand River.
- Students will enjoy a delicious full course meal in community as they explore sights and sounds of Brant Haldiman.
- Rockway will cover the costs of the lunch as well as provide transportation to and from the river cruise.
- Students may not drive on their own.
- Students must RSVP for meal choices by May 1
GENERAL GRADUATION INFORMATION
- Graduation Ceremony – 3:00 pm, WMB Church, Waterloo
- PARKING – WMB has a parking lot at the church. There is also OVERFLOW parking down the street at 279 Lexington Rd.
- Graduation Reception & Banquet – 6:00 pm, Rockway Mennonite Collegiate, Assembly Area
- Students and their families can return to Rockway with their gowns to take a few photos on campus and in the foyer
- GOWN RETURN will take place in the main foyer – students will also receive their graduation package.
Graduation Day TIMELINE- Saturday, June 20, 2026:
To help your family plan for the day, here is a brief overview of times. Please note, these times are as of June 6, 2026 and are subject to change:
- NEW: 12:20 pm – Graduates arrive at WMB church and pick up gown
- 12:45 pm – Ceremony rehearsal begins
- 1:50 pm – Gr. 11 Choir students arrive for rehearsal
- 2:30 pm – Gymnasium doors open for guests
- 3:00 pm – Ceremony begins
- 4:30 pm – Ceremony ends (approximate time)
- NEW 4:35 pm – Class photo at WMB
- NEW 5:30 pm – Return to Rockway (can take more photos on the grounds, at the photobooth in foyer, return gown and receive graduation package)
- 6:00 pm – Reception for grads and invited Banquet guests
- 6:30 pm – Banquet begins
- 8:30 pm – Good Night!
