Our Parent Engagement Series has returned this year. Please mark your calendars for the following evenings:  

  • Wednesday, October 29: Youth Mental Health: Understanding Anxiety 
  • Thursday, January 15: Topic TBA
  • Spring Date TBD

Back by strong request, our first evening will be a continuation of our Understanding Anxiety conversation. All are welcome – regardless of whether or not you joined us in March. 

The evening will be lead by faculty member and Rockway’s new Mental Health & Wellbeing Lead, Margaret Andres (RSW). 

Invite a friend and plan to join us on Wednesday, October 29 as Margaret guides us through a conversation on anxiety where you will have the opportunity to: 

  • hear from other parents
  • learn from one another
  • feel a sense of support in the important work of supporting and nurturing our young people

All are welcome!

Due to the inclement weather, Rockway is closed Monday, January 26. Please note the following: 

  • Parents do not need to report on attendance 

  • Grade 9-12 exams will be rescheduled for Tuesday 

  • Grade 7&8 Teachers will be available for students (i.e. chat or email) should they require support or assistance with a particular assignment 

  • All after school extracurricular activities and D8 games are cancelled

  • The PD day on January 28 remains the same as does the start of semester II on Thursday, January 29.
