Family Picnic & Outdoor Movie Night

Join us for our first-ever Family Picnic & Outdoor Movie Night – a fun, family-friendly event for all ages…and it’s all FREE!  

Rockway wants to thank its current families, alumni and friends for their incredible support, and belief in the work being done within these walls, over the last number of years. As we end our first year post-pandemic, it has been wonderful to be able to have our community return to our building…now it’s time to celebrate together! 

JOIN US! Friday, June 16, 2023, for an evening of picnic games, BBQ bites, carnival snacks and top it off with an outdoor movie! Bring your lawn chairs and blankets, refillable water bottles and picnic gear (cups, plates and utensils as you’re able) and spend an evening having fun together. Rain or shine! 

RSVP for this FREE family-friendly event starting May 12.

What to Expect

  • 5:00 – 9:00 pm – Carnival Games on the Ball Diamond (we will move into the gyms if it’s raining) 
    • Young or old, you’ll enjoy our giant Plinko, Connect Four, Skee Ball, Ring Toss, Jenga and other carnival-like games
  • 6:00 – 7:30 pm – BBQ Bites* 
    • We will be providing FREE hamburgers, hotdogs
    •  V, GF options available when you RSVP
    • Set your chairs and blankets on the ball diamond field, limited picnic tables are available 
  • 6:00 – 9:30 pm – Snack & Drink Food Truck*
    • Enjoy fun, FREE, carnival snacks like cotton candy and popcorn along with a refillable pop and water station. Not your thing? Feel free to bring your own snacks along!
  • 7:30 – 9:00 pm – Picnic Games and  Ultimate Frisbee 
    • Participate in traditional picnic games like sack races, three-legged and egg-and-spoon races for you to enjoy some friendly competition 
    • Play Ultimate on the soccer field – don’t know how to play? No worries – we will show you how!
  • 9:15 pm-ish (dusk) – Outdoor Movie on the Ball Diamond (bring your lawn chairs, blankets etc.)
    • The movie title will be announced on May 12…stay tuned!!

*Help us be kind to the Environment

We encourage you to bring your own refillable water bottles, cups, plates and utensils to cut down on the use of Rockway supplied bamboo utensils, paper plates and cups.
