Tuition Assistance Applications are due
This is a friendly reminder that Tuition Assistance applications for the 2025-2026 school year are due on Monday, January 20. Please follow this link to complete the process. Once you have logged into Blackbaud, you will need to click on your child’s name and then click on ‘checklist to review’. That will give you access to the Tuition Assistance application as well as the link to upload supporting documents. Pizza is $2 per slice on Monday!
Since Café Rockway is closed, the France Germany Exchange team will run another pizza lunch fundraiser. Slices are $2 a piece. No pre-ordering – first come first served. They will also be selling pop and chips for $2. Bring your toonies to the foyer at lunch.

Café Rockway – no large bills, please!
We are noticing an increase of students using $100 or $50 bills at lunch in the cafeteria. Starting semester 2, we can no longer accept these bills. However, students are welcome to use those bills to pay for meal tickets at the front desk. If your student is buying lunch on a regular basis, we strongly encourage you to consider ordering meal tickets. The process can be found on the Café Rockway webpage.

Parking Lot Parent Attendants – UPDATE
A HUGE thank you to the families who responded to our request for parking lot attendants. We are excited to launch this new program! In case you missed it, you can sign up to help from 2:45 – 3:15 pm, one day a week, using this Parking Attendant google form.  To remind you of where you can and can not drop off or pick up your student, please read Rockway’s full Parking Lot Safety Expectations on the Messages from Admin bookshelf on myRockway. Thank you to everyone for respecting these safety rules and our parent volunteer parking attendants.

80th Anniversary Founders’ Day Celebrations – Friday, February 14, 2025
Founders’ Day is less than a month away! For those of you new to Rockway, February 15, 1945 is the day of our founding as a school, and for the past number of  years, we’ve been intentionally celebrating this day with our students, families, alumni and friends. This year, we are celebrating on Friday, February 14, yes, Valentine’s Day! Come celebrate the school you love with the people you love!

On the 14th, you are invited to join us for some or all of the activities that we have planned. It all starts with a special Founders’ Day Chapel in the morning (where there will be a BIG announcement) followed by our Tea & Pastry Reception. The celebrations continue with our Soup Supper Trips Week Fundraiser and Alumni Sports Challenge in the evening.

To help us with our planning, and for your convenience, advanced registration and payment is available. This will help us guess at how many extra chairs to put out for Chapel and how much delicious soup to make. Stay tuned for more details and ways that you can help volunteer (and get a free meal!) during the Soup Supper. Inclement Weather Protocol
In the case of an inclement weather day (i.e. school closure due to freezing rain, snow storm etc.) Rockway will have an asynchronous working day. Please take a moment to read the full Inclement Weather Protocol which explains how we will notify you if we need to close the school (Rockway is NOT announced on the radio). You can find it on the MESSAGES FROM ADMIN bookshelf on myRockway.

Classes are running during Exams
Grade 7&8 classes are running as usual from January 20, 21 and 22 while the high school has exams. Café Rockway is closed all week. Please refer to the emails from teachers about the Winter Retreat on January 23 & 24.

Exam Schedule
