Boys Three Pitch Baseball Tournament
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times for our grade 7-8 boys at the 3-pitch tournament which took place on Wednesday Sept 24. After winning big and losing big, the team faced a big challenge from Saint Elizabeth in the fifth place game.
We gave up a grand slam to fall behind 4-0. We slowly clawed our way back to tie it at five. Then a series of errors led to a 9-5 deficit. Everything looked bleak, the boys’ confidence was shaken. They kept chipping away and a few errors later we found ourselves up 11 to 9. Some stellar defense in the bottom of the inning gave us the victory.
