It is with great joy and anticipation that I invite you to join me and the Rockway Board of Directors in welcoming Rockway’s incoming Principal, Josh Hill. Josh brings tremendous passion, energy, joy, and commitment to the role of Rockway Principal. As a Board, we are unanimous in our welcome of Josh to the Principal position.

Josh will be known to many of you as he is currently serving as Rockway’s Vice Principal. Josh brings many gifts and talents to the Rockway school community: He is a dynamic leader, with passion and infectious energy that brings joy and delight to the school community. Josh is a reflective leader and team player who is committed to ensuring a school of excellence well into the future. Josh brings a clear sense of vision for the school and for the role Rockway can play in students’ lives. Josh is dedicated to the mission of the school, and the principles of faith-based education. Josh’s passion for equity, justice and peace helps him think creatively about how to ensure Rockway is a school that is truly welcoming and that nurtures students to be people that foster healing and hope in the world.

In addition to his current role as Vice Principal at Rockway, Josh was a teacher in the Waterloo Region District School Board from 2005 – 2022, including serving as Department Head for the music program in his most recent school. He has held numerous volunteer roles in the local community. Josh is an active member of Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church. He and his wife Andrea have 2 children, Amelia and Jack.

We are thankful to all who supported this Search Process. Josh begins his appointment on July 1, 2024.
