Business Program set to launch

Posted on: March 29th, 2017

Rockway is excited to announce that Pam Fehr and Sheri Wideman will launch Rockway’s business courses in September 2017.

Pam Fehr will bring a wealth of experience to building this program, through her previous role as Vice President, Marketing at Kindred and working with Mennonite Economic Development Association  (MEDA).  Through these experiences, she has seen and experienced first-hand the impact that well run businesses can make in people’s live and communities.  She looks forward to sharing the possibilities of business as a calling with students, and to cultivate and nurture their talents and passions in this arena.

Sheri Wideman is no stranger to Rockway.  Since 2008, Sheri has taught Grade 9-11 French and most recently added Grade 12 Sociology to her portfolio. Throughout her nine years of teaching here, she has brought energy, creativity, global mindedness to the classroom, international work experience and solid pedagogy. With a strong linguistic and social science background, alongside an entrepreneurial spirit, she looks forward to this new career challenge!

Pam will be the Business Program Coordinator, working and consulting with Sheri who will teach both of the courses, to ensure International Business Fundamentals (BBB4M) and Business Leadership:  Management Fundamentals (BOH4M) be executed with a balance and understanding of the current business world all while fulfilling the Ministry of Education standards.
