Celebrating a great match: MCEC financial gift
Prior to Rockway’s fundraising dinner on Thursday, February 25th, Rockway supporters gathered to toast and celebrate MCEC’s matching gift of $150,000. This gift allowed Rockway to raise over $300,000 for tuition assistance through Rockway’s Share the Flame campaign last year.
David Martin and Jeff Steckley from MCEC spoke of the important role that Rockway plays in developing leaders for the Church and the obvious partnership implications for these two institutions.
Principal Ann Schultz echoed these sentiments and went on to thank the conference for their gift. “Your generosity has helped to make education here at Rockway accessible. Your contribution has allowed five new MCEC students to enroll in our school this year and made it possible for them to attend here for the duration of their high school experience.We will also be able to fund three new MCEC students starting this fall in 2015.”
With a passion for making disciples, growing congregations and forming leaders, Rockway looks to do the work of preparing our youth for their future roles in the church. It was a match made in heaven!
