Farewell to Judy Patton

Posted on: April 1st, 2016

judy1On Friday, April 1st, the Rockway Community bid farewell to long standing staff member, Judy Patton.  Judy came to Rockway, first as a parent, followed by the role of Attendance Secretary and in 2005, Judy became the Assistant to the Principal.

Judy has been an approachable, kind, patient and intelligent presence in the office.  Throughout her years in this role, she has mastered the use of Maplewood, witnessed and trouble shot multiple renditions of the report card, successfully submitted multiple pre-inspection packages, mobilized hundreds of student VISAS, photocopied thousands of exams, filed thousands of Ontario Student Records, compiled Board packages, taken minutes at many meetings…the list could go on!

judy3Judy was recognized at a recent gathering with international students, a Faculty/Staff breakfast where speeches and a gift was presented, a student assembly, and most recently, Rockway’s Board of Directors, John Torrance-Perks recognized her years of service and her valuable contribution to Rockway at her last Faculty/Staff Meeting.  Throughout all of these celebrations, she was affirmed for her kindness, her patience, her unflappable and steady presence in the office and her ability to solve problems!  She will be missed!

We are thankful for Judy’s valuable contribution over the last 16 years and wish her God’s deepest blessings as she embarks on the next chapter of her life!  Happy Retirement, Judy!
