For the love of reading
Rockway’s senior Book Club is a small but committed group that meets once a week to share lunch together and talk about books!
This year our loyal group pushed through four novels, hosted the “Read the book~Watch the movie” week, wrote a collaborative story, and wrote and shared individual pieces of writing which were entered in the 2015 Elora Writers Festival Short Story Contest . A BIG congratulations to Claris Lam who won Third Prize for her story Level Up.
We also want to bid a fond farewell to Claris who has been a member of Book Club since grade 9 and will graduate this year (on to bigger and brighter book clubs!). Our last meeting ended with a few snacks and an opportunity to share summer reading suggestions that were personally tailored to the other members.
