quilt group picThis year Rockway is pleased to feature the wonderful work of The Soul Stitchers quilting group in our annual quilt exhibit in the Silo. Seven members of The Soul Stitchers contributed their work to this exhibit. They are Leslie Buck, Louise Caldwell, Connie Collins, Joanne Duff, Sheila Goldsworthy, Nancy McGlone and Laura Roth.

Nancy McGlone writes about the strong ties that quilting as a group has brought to them: “Stitching together in a group provides time for friendship, laughing, working and supporting. Some quilts were made for each other, gifts of love, and as well for others, be it family, friends, to a person living with cancer, with new baby, new home or without a home…a piece of our soul goes into each quilt.”

Each Soul Stitcher displays a unique style in the fabric choices, patterns and construction of her quilts. We at Rockway greatly appreciate this opportunity to display and enjoy their works of art. You can download the brochure for this exhibit here: Rockway Quilt Exhibit Brochure 2013

Rockway offers public tours of the display. Should you wish to visit our quilt exhibit, please contact the main office for more information. A Galaxy of Pieces exhibit runs until June 2014.
