And there was singing!

grade 10 choir Every year Rockway choirs visit area churches to lead worship. On Sunday November 17th, the Grade 10 choir made the first visit of this school year to Preston Mennonite Church.

Jennifer Hoffman-Bailey led the choir and meditations were given by Ann Schultz and Yara Janzen. Rockway students read scriptures, told a children’s story and played and sang for the prelude and offertory. Fred Kinsie and Muriel Bechtel were the local worship leaders.

We were warmly received by the church where there are members from every decade of Rockway’s almost seventy years of existence, including the majority of our first graduating class! The opportunity to build relationships with our churches, to be leaders in worship and to learn the importance of whom we represent as we educate our students is a central part of who we are.
