BeaverTails for everyone!

_DSC0083On the Grade 8 trip to Ottawa, we discovered so many things about our peers and the different people they are inside and outside of school. When we left school everyone was very excited. Both bus rides there and back were fun and amusing and we really got to know each other better.

During our swim time at Carleton University, everyone enjoyed themselves, trying the high dive platforms, the diving board, the rope swing or playing a game of water basketball. Following the swim, we went out for a late night snack at Dairy Queen.

_DSC0177In Ottawa we went to many museums and saw many new things. We went to the War Museum, the National Art Gallery, and had a tour of the Centre Block where we saw the House of Commons and the Senate Chambers.

There were also many outdoor activities, like the Click! Photo Treasure Hunt. We went on a tour of the Hill that led all around the Parliament buildings and learned many things about the history of Ottawa. We explored the Rideau Canal on our walk to Rideau Hall, the house of the Governor General of Canada. We also went on a haunted tour of an old jail where we heard true stories of people who had been in the jail.

_DSC0065After a jam-packed morning of tours, and sightseeing, we always stopped at ByWard Market for some lunch. The BeaverTails were by far the most delicious! On the last night, we finished with a bit of free time for shopping at Rideau Centre.

Everyone made memories that will last forever.
