Grade 9 Art trip to McMichael
Our trip to the McMichael Canadian Art Collection in Kleinburg, Ontario was truly wondrous and imaginative. The gallery was beautiful and very well laid out. The McMichael Collection houses remarkable pieces by Group of Seven artists. The paintings were all very moving.
Prior to our visit, we researched the Group of Seven to enable us to become familiar with the artists before our visit. We also researched a specific painting to allow us to see the history behind the artist’s hard work. We saw artwork that inspired us with elements beyond our imaginations, as well as the very creative works of Kim Dorland.
We encourage others to see what a glorious job the artists of the museum’s exhibits have done in giving us these inspirational images. The McMichael Gallery is a wonderful place to explore the wonders of art. This trip is one that will inspire each one of us in our own creation of art.
