Grade 9 Retreat

Grade 9 Retreat On September 19th, the Grade 9 class got on a bus and headed out to Countryside Retreat Centre for a day filled with games, food and singing. The main goal of this retreat was to learn how to build trust within ourselves, our classmates and our teachers.

This was the first time that we had spent the entire day as just the grade nine class,  the people with whom we will be spending the next four years. We played lots of fun games including apples to apples, grounders, capture the flag, spoons, and soccer. We also participated in many trust building and group activities such as human pyramids, orienteering, problem solving initiatives and a scavenger hunt.

After a full day of activities, we ended with a campfire. We sang songs led by both students and teachers, and were offered words of wisdom and insight to help us through our high school experience.

This day was a great opportunity to get to know each other better and build new friendships!
