Listening for Grace

IMG_0970On Thursday, February 5th, Rockway faculty, staff and students had the opportunity to hear Ted Swartz, a writer and actor from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, who presented an excerpt of his compelling drama “Listening for Grace.”

Swartz summarizes his show as a “father’s journey of discovering, searching, getting advice and hearing from people in his own church. It’s a piece about church, about fatherhood, about community. It’s a piece about our sexuality. And it’s an entertaining and enlightening piece about openness and love.”

This artistic presentation was an excellent follow-up to Rockway’s “Healthy Sexuality” series which took place this fall, featuring Keith Graber Miller as the keynote speaker. The show was very well received by the student body and several students chose to attend the full show that was being presented later that weekend at two local churches.
