On Tuesday, March 4th, Rockway was lucky enough to have Canadian ice dancers Andrew Poje and Kaitlyn Weaver as guest speakers at chapel. They were fresh off the 2014 Sochi Olympic ice, and shared their Olympic journey and experiences with us in their role as the newest ambassadors of Right To Play.

Right To Play is an organization whose mission is to use sport and play to educate and empower children and youth to overcome the effects of poverty, conflict, and disease in disadvantaged communities.

The UN recognizes that every child has a right to be a child, to play and to have fun. Right To Play takes that one step further in believing that games and play can bring communities closer, inspire individuals and teach children life lessons, such as teamwork and leadership.

Thank you Andrew, Kaitlyn and Right To Play for your educational, interesting and inspiring presentation!
