Rockway has celebrated and prepared for Christmas in Twelve Significant Ways this Advent Season!

1) Launched the annual food drive in chapel with guest speaker, Christine Rier from the House of Friendship.

2) Had an Advent Chapel which explained the 4 Advent Candles and their significance.

3) Prepared for and performed at the annual Christmas concert at St. Matthews Lutheran Church.

4) Sang Advent and Christmas Carols in chapel and at noon hour.

5) Collected cans and donations, counted them and arranged them in the foyer.

6) Decorated the halls, classrooms and front office with poinsettias, Christmas trees, lights and greenery.

7) Celebrated the food drive, with a total collection of 30,060 cans!

8) Dyed hair (talk to a Student Council member)!

9) Dressed up as a rapper and alongside two teachers, did a rap for the school in celebration of the Food Drive achievement!

10) Celebrated through Christmas parties, banquets and dancing!

11) Celebrated the birth of the Christ Child through singing, listening, praying and reflecting.

12) Shared messages of hope, joy, peace and love!

Faculty, staff and students have prepared well for this joyous season!  Please accept my heartfelt thanks for your support the last 12 months.  It continues to be an honor and a privilege to be Rockway’s Principal!  May you all have a Merry Christmas and a Blessed 2014!
