Liz in 104Liz Pfisterer, chair of Rockway’s Chapel Committee, is part of the team that is launching “Sabbath Space” – a new initiative that aims to provide students with a more intimate setting to explore their faith.

Fridays at lunch, students along faculty and  staff, are invited to room 204 for a chance to dig into faith-related discussions, hear guest speakers, and explore spiritual practises.

“Sabbath Space” is designed to complement the chapel and religious studies programs that are already in place.

“This is an opportunity to intentionally devote time, space and energy to Christian spiritual formation, a core aspect of our mission and identity as an Anabaptist/Mennonite school of the church”, says principal Ann Schultz.

The vision for Sabbath Space was a joint effort between Rockway’s Religious Studies Department, Faith and Worship Team, Chapel Planning Committee and Administration.
