Senior Girls Basketball Exhibition Weekend

Our Senior Girls team travelled to Mitchell on Saturday September 25 to take on the home team Mitchell and as well as nearby Clinton. With only six players available, the girls played their hearts (and legs!) out and put on a spectacular display of gutsy basketball.
Everyone contributed – Amani Amstutz drained 5 threes, Abby Amstutz took 2 charges playing stellar defence, Danielle Weicker played point and sunk a three from half court to end the first half of the second game, Jamie Torrance Perks was high scorer in both games with 12 and 16 points respectively, Claire Deudney scored her first basket as a Flame and Lorena Diller Harder sank a couple of threes including a game tying shot at the end of the first game to put it into overtime.
Unfortunately we lost both games but as a coach, I could not have been prouder of their efforts! Well done Flames!
