Spiritual Emphasis Week: DOWN to EARTH

September 25 – 27, 2018 is Spiritual Emphasis Week at Rockway – a special week where we focus on a key spiritual issue as a community.

The focus of 2018 series will be “Creation Care” and will feature Jennifer Schrock and Tom Hartzell from Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College, Indiana.

Schrock is the Communications Coordinator at Merry Lea and is also the leader of the Mennonite Creation Care Network. Hartzell is the Coordinator of the residential undergraduate programs at Merry Lea and also serves as an environmental educator in their K-12 school programs.

During their time with us, Schrock and Hartzell will give three chapel addresses:

Chapel 1:  Meeting Jesus the Hiker
Chapel 2:  Big Water, Big God
Chapel 3:  Rockway and the Ways of Rocks

Our guests will also visit classes throughout the week and give one evening address for parents and constituents, Naming Our Temptations – Sept. 26, 7 – 8:30 pm.
