Warm Memories of Jr. High Winter Retreat

Posted on: February 3rd, 2014

IMG_2512On January 23rd and 24th, the Grade 7 and 8 students went on a winter retreat to Silver Lake Mennonite Camp.

Even though the weather was very cold, we all managed to have fun and build a stronger community between grades.

Throughout the whole trip, we participated in exciting outdoor activities which included broom ball on the lake, snowshoeing in the forest, and building snow forts in the field. While doing these activities, we expanded our knowledge of survival and teamwork and also learned how to better trust our peers.

When we were not outside, we were in the dining hall, playing games, relaxing by the fire, or drinking hot chocolate while getting to know each other better. We made friends with people we would not normally talk to.

It was an amazing experience and we will always cherish the memories and laughs we shared there.
