Audition Process – Vocals/Drama

NEW:  Please fill out and bring your completed Audition Form to the audition.

What’s going to happen when it’s my turn to audition?

  1. The first 2 people in the time slot will sing their songs
  2. All 4 people in the time slot will do the readings
  3. The second group of 2 people will sing their songs.

NOTE: You are NOT expected to have any of your audition material memorized.

Audition Requirements – Choreography

ALL students who sign up Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday MUST be at this audition. If you are on a sports team, your coaches have been warned that you will be missing part of your practice. Please check in with your coach to let them know you’re at this audition.

What to wear:

  • comfortable footwear – running shoes, jazz/dance shoes
  • comfortable clothing….gym clothes, yoga clothes etc…
  • NO JEANS, SANDALS OR HIGH HEELS

What to expect:

You don’t need to be a dancer! You are simply showing our choreographer Jenee Gowing (yes, she did Seussical), that you can move (and hopefully to the beat!) Most people should be done this audition by 4:15 pm.

If you take dance lessons and want to show off what you can do, you will have a chance to show Jenee your moves from 4:15 – 4:30 pm.

Thanks for trying out! We look forward to a fantastic production!
