Personal Information
Ms. Shantz is very familiar with the Rockway community. She graduated from Rockway in 2002, came back to work as a Teaching Assistant in 2008/2009, and returned as a Teacher in 2010. Ms. Shantz played every sport possible all through high school and has since coached a variety of teams, most notably the D-8 Championship Sr Girl’s Volleyball and OFSAA Gold Sr Girl’s Basketball teams in 2008/2009 and the Wolfpack in 2011. Her passions include playing sports, coaching, and traveling. After finishing her University degree, Ms. Shantz taught English in a bilingual Kindergarten in Shenzhen, China. From there she enjoyed traveling to Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Bali, Lombock, The Philippines, Vietnam, Borneo and other parts of China. She loves that Rockway students not only get amazing opportunities to travel on unique exchanges (which she has chaperoned many times), but to interact with so many different cultures on a daily basis at the school itself.
