Personal Information

Josh taught high school for 17 years in the WRDSB and has had the privilege of teaching at Glenview Park Secondary School, Bluevale Collegiate Institute before taking over the role of Music Department head at Cameron Heights Collegiate for 11 years.

Josh has presented multiple times at the Ontario Music Education Conference, as well as at the American Association of Popular Music Education conference in Nashville. Josh had the great privilege of being a speaker at the TEDxKitchener conference at Center in the Square in 2019, and is Barrday Teacher of Excellence award winner.

He is currently a member of the board for Laurier Center For Music in the Community, the Chairperson for The Center For Sound Music Education, and the Project Manager for the Kaleid Choral festival. Josh is also active at Stirling Avenue Mennonite where he frequently plays music on Sunday mornings, and sits on the Missions Peace and Justice Committee.
